About Brendan
Meet Brendan, the voice and presence behind The Unofficiant.
About Me
I’m Brendan — better known at weddings as The Unofficiant.

I’m not ordained, not licensed, and not here to pretend otherwise. What I am is someone who knows how to hold a room, shape a moment, and deliver a ceremony that feels intentional, grounded, and unmistakably personal.
I’m told I have a deep, soothing, radio-ready voice, the kind that settles a crowd and draws people in. I’ve always had a way with words, sentiment, and storytelling, and weddings turned out to be the perfect place to bring all of that together.
I was raised Catholic, but I’m not ordained. That background gives me a comfortable fluency in traditional or spiritual language when couples want it, and the freedom to create completely non-religious ceremonies when they don’t. Whether you want something secular, symbolic, lightly spiritual, or a blend of both, I tailor the tone to you.
My role is simple:
I host the ceremony everyone remembers, without the legal red tape.
I bring presence, clarity, humour, and heart, and I build ceremonies that feel like they were written for you, not pulled from a template. If you want a ceremony that feels personal, modern, meaningful, and real, I’d be honoured to stand up there with you.
